Reading the bible is one of the most important things that a Christian needs to do. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” The bible cuts to the heart and shows us where we need to change. It encourages, comforts, exhorts, convicts, reminds, renews, and uplifts our minds.

I would encourage anyone, Christian or Non-Christian to read the bible. If you are not a Christian, I would encourage you to choose a reading plan and find out what the bible says. I’ve noticed that many bible skeptics have not actually read the bible, but they parrot what other skeptics say. If you are open to doing a little research on your own, you can find a daily bible reading program that will only take between 5-15 minutes a day, depending on what program you choose.

If you are looking for a daily bible reading plan, I made a list of bible reading plans that you might find helpful. Some of the reading plans can be emailed to you every day, which makes reading easy. Other plans offer printable schedules which you can keep with your bible. You can choose to read the bible through in 1 year, 2 years, or even 3 years. There are also plans for 90 days through the bible, overviews, and topical readings.
