God of Wonders

I love this music video by Third Day. It is a wonderful reminder of God’s power in creation.

Creator of the Starry Sky
Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes on high,
And see who has created these things,
Who brings out their host by number;
He calls them all by name,
By the greatness of His might
And the strength of His power;
Not one is missing.

Have you looked up at the starry sky lately? The bright lights contrasted by the blackness of night is truly amazing. Our nearest star system is Alpha Centauri, and it is 4.35 light years away. That is the closet star system….yet there are so many other stars beyond our reach or knowledge. God is the creator of the nearest and farthest stars, and everything in between. By His power he created them, named them, and He knows where each one exists. Even more amazing than this is that although He is unequaled in power and strength, He cares for the small things too. Matthew 6:26 says, “ Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” God created the blazing lights in the sky and He created the small gentle birds of the earth. How much more does He care for you and I? Have you reached out to your creator? Have you asked Him to reveal Himself to you? The bible says that if you seek Him you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart.
