10 Verses That Talk About Salvation

31 July 2009 No Comment

What is salvation? The definition of salvation is the concept that God saves us from spiritual death or eternal damnation by providing a sacrifice for our sins through Jesus Christ.

Why do we need to be saved? We need to be saved from the penalty of our sin, which is eternal separation from God in hell. Because God is Holy and Just He must punish sin. But He has provided a way of escape for us by sending Jesus to die for us. The bible says that if we place our faith in Jesus we will be saved. The salvation message is full of hope because we can have confidence that Jesus paid the debt that we owe on the cross. But to be saved you must believe and repent.

1. Hebrews 2:3
How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?

2. John 10:9
” I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

3. Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

4. Acts 2:21
‘AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.’

5. Acts 4:12
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

6. Romans 5:10
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

7. Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

8. 1 Timothy 2:3-4
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

9. Titus 3:5
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit

10. Romans 10:10
