A long time ago I read the book, “No Compromise: The Life Story of Keith Green” and I was encouraged and inspired by his passionate love for Christ and his enduring faith. He had a heart for sharing the gospel with others and his music was truly from his heart. Many have been been convicted and strengthened by Keith Green’s music.

Do You Desire God?

I watched this video of Paul Washer preaching about having a passion for God, and I found myself thinking that anyone who doesn’t know God must think this is pretty extreme.

Prophesies About the Messiah

What is a prophesy? A prophesy is a declaration that something will happen in the future, before it happens. The Old Testament is full of prophesies, especially foretelling of a coming Messiah. Messiah means “anointed” or “anointed one”. The Greek equivalent is Khristos or Christ. The Jews were waiting for a coming Messiah, a deliverer, an anointed one to save them. Many Jews hoped in a future Messiah to help them when Rome took Israel captive. Those that knew their Old Testament scripture knew that there would be signs.

Are You Resolved?

As stated on their website, “The Resolved conference is a call for a new generation to live with the same resolve.” The conference meets every year to hear bible teaching and be renewed in the word. I have been listening to the sermons and I have been very encouraged. I highly recommend these messages to anyone who wants to be challenged in their faith.

What is Repentance?

Repentance involves being broken before God and recognizing that your sin nailed Jesus to the cross. Repentance is a change of heart. Repentance is not just walking away from sin but it’s walking towards God in obedience.

Rekindling Your Love For Christ

As Christians we find that at times our heart grows cold in our affection for Christ. The business of life and the affection for other things gets in the way of what matters most. In this video, John Mac Arthur says, “Being a Christian is about loving Christ so much that you want to know Him, so much that you want to exalt Him, so much that you want to serve Him, so much that you want to be with Him, so much that you want to tell others about Him.”

I enjoy perusing the questions on yahoo answers and I see this question come up from time to time. Will God let me into heaven if I’m a good person? Which of these responses do you think are correct according to the bible?

Matthew 13:45-46

Christians are actually accountable for what they share, or don’t share. Paul didn’t leave out anything that was necessary in sharing the gospel. He said in Acts 20:26,27 “Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.” To refuse to warn someone about a real threat is a bit like watching someone drown and looking the other way.

Running From Disaster: Do We Heed Enough Warnings

Besides obvious physical reasons (such as addiction to drugs) why do we often ignore a warning that could potentially save our lives? I think we get so caught up in the events of our daily lives that we put “warnings” on the back burner and hope everything will work out okay. Sometimes fear of an event will cripple us and make us unable to deal with a situation. Therefore we don’t allow ourselves to think about an issue, hoping that if it isn’t in our thoughts….maybe it doesn’t exist.
