Would you like a program that will help you to memorize bible verses?

I’d like to share a free bible memory software program that I stumbled upon that offers several different tools to assist you with memorizing bible verses. It’s called the Scripture Memory System. It comes with bible verse suggestions or you can add your own verses to memorize. The following tools are offered to assist you in memorizing verses:

1) Drill–A cartoon parrot repeats our loud the verse you want to memorize, line by line, so that you hear it out loud and follow along.

2) Erase–In this section you can erase words in the verse and attempt to recall to memory the words that have been erased. This is what it looks like using the following verse.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If ___ confess our sins he is ____ and righteous to _____ us our ____ and to cleanses us ___ all _________.

You can continue to erase words until all the words are erased and you are able to repeat back the verse.

3) Puzzle–You can choose how many words in your verse you want to be taken out. The words are then left at the bottom of the screen, underneath your verse, and you must find the right words to fit back in the appropriate places in the verse. You simply click and drag the correct word to the right line.

4) Flash–A small screen flashes one word at a time in your verse so that you can concentrate on each word in your verse. You can make it flash as slow or as fast as you want.

5) Train–Each word of your verse (represented by a _____) will scroll by you. You must push the first letter of the each word as it goes by.

6) Teach–A cartoon parrot will assist in you in learning the verse by repeating one line at a time and then giving you time to repeat the verse to yourself.

7) Test–You have an opportunity to type out your verse and it will correct any errors and give you a percentage of how many words your got right.

–This program also helps you to learn the Old Testament and New Testament book names, and it offers a bible knowledge quiz.
–You can print out bible verse memory cards
–You can analyze and set goals
–participate in an email discussion with other users
–read helpful information on how to meditate on the word, as well as how to study the word
–a user guide assists you with any questions you may have

I am amazed that this software is free. I have searched the web for other memory verse programs and this one is the best that I have found. You can download this program at
