Are You Resolved?

As stated on their website, “The Resolved conference is a call for a new generation to live with the same resolve.” The conference meets every year to hear bible teaching and be renewed in the word. I have been listening to the sermons and I have been very encouraged. I highly recommend these messages to anyone who wants to be challenged in their faith.

Recently we have been informed of several celebrity deaths, including Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. When a celebrity dies, he or she must face God, just like you or I must face Him, and God holds no partiality. Every person must account for his life, whether he is a beggar in the streets or a rich millionaire with all the fame in the world.

Bay Area News reported a story about a teen girl who outsmarted her doctors by correctly diagnosing herself with Crohn’s disease, after her doctors missed it and said that she had irritable bowel syndrome.

Apparently she was taking a Biomedical Problems class and pathologists came to the class to teach the students how to correctly diagnose slides. Later she took slides of her own intestinal tissue to the class. Looking at one of the slides, she thought she found something and called over her teacher. The teacher snapped a picture of the slide and sent it to a pathologist. The pathologist confirmed that it was a granuloma.

San Diego Biblestudy Was Told They Had to Have a Permit to Meet

I recently read a news story in Truth’s in the Word, about a pastor and his wife, David and Mary Jones, who were told that they could not hold a bible study in their home, unless they were ready to pay tens of thousands of dollars to San Diego County. I was shocked to say the least; especially since I live in California and have family in San Diego who regularly attend bible studies. I decided to read more.
